I decided to post some of my favorite library-related website links, ones that are interesting, funny, or both. After all, I am holed up in my Melbourne apartment struggling with research statistics, and you don't want to see photos of that, do you?
Warrior Librarian Plays on librarian stereotypes and offers alot of humor in doing so. Entries such as the one on "library politics" are sure to make you chuckle.
Turn the Page Created by a cartoonist who works in a library in Portland, Oregon- very funny and oh, so true.
Josh Earl Is a Librarian Young, hip comedian/musician who is also-you guessed it- a librarian.
The Bellydancing Librarian Librarians who also bellydance? Who knew...
Ms. Dewey (must have Macromedia Flash Player) This is a Microsoft search engine of the nontraditional sort where the hostess, Ms. Dewey not only helps you find the information you're looking for, but comments and entertains as well.
Sara Ryan (blog by novelist, comics writer, and librarian in Portland, Oregon).
Information Wants to Be Free (blog by librarian Meredith Farkas)
Librarygrrrl.net (blog by a feminist, knitting, hockey-playing librarian)
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts...love him? You'll want to see this.
The Shifted Librarian (blog by librarian Jenny Levine about information technology tools)

I am really excited to be on your list of favorite links! Now how on earth did you ever find my blog, because it's not all that library-centric (although it IS heavy on the cute dog photos and blatherings about hockey...)?
Sounds like you're having a fabulous adventure in Melbourne - hope you don't mind if I read along.
You know, I can't remember which one, but it was linked to some other blog site. It's been awhile. Glad you don't mind my linking to your site. I have alot of friends who like books and adorable dogs.
How'd you find all these links? Thanks for putting mine up there...hope all is well on the other side of the world.
Mainly just surfin'the net, and from classmates in library school. Thanks for checkin' my blog out! Things are good here in Melbourne.
